WellVentions is the only teen-run business operating at the Rochester Public Market for nearly 10 years. Through the process of inventing & testing their own branded products, youth learn entrepreneurial, social, & business skills. Exposed to career opportunities, they prepare to transition from school to the job market.
Pioneering Emotional Literacy Thru The Arts
Since 2005, WellVentions has delivered social emotional learning programs using theater and the arts. Trained by behavioral psychologists, WellVentions youth entrepreneurs identify signs of stress, anger & how to peacefully resolve conflicts - essential skills to succeed in the workplace. Through our community partnership with Fallbrook Farms, they practice self awareness skills by connecting with nature.
Intergenerational Mentorship
WellVentions youth internalize what they learn about managing their emotions as they invent entertaining & educational lesson plans to share with their younger peers. They acquire leadership skills by facilitating their lessons and mentoring school-age children at daycare centers & schools in our region.
